Trouble remembering? Get these tech tools

Everyone is constantly multitasking and it's understandable if you forget a few things now and then. But to help you remember, there are various little tools you can use. Off the top of my head, there are so many excellent reminder services available. www.rememberthemilk.com is one of the most-used services - available on the Web, on Android and iPhone, as an Outlook add-on, on Twitter, as a Gmail gadget and as a Google Calendar add-in. www.todo.ly is also free and a fairly extensive tool for all sorts of reminders.

All your reminders stay online so that you can access them from any computer. But if you don't need something so complicated, you can just use extensions for your browser - Internote for Firefox and Stickies for Chrome - which let you add little electronic Post-It notes as reminders. And as far as email reminders go, the easiest free services which require no registration or time to setup are www.alertful.com and www.hassleme.co.uk.

Both these services just require you to visit the website, enter your email address, type in a reminder, select the date or select the frequency. Set the services to remind you every day, week, month or once a year (useful for birthdays, anniversaries) - and on said date, you'll get a simple email from yourself - reminding you of what you're supposed to do. Set one of these as your homepage and you'll automatically remember to remind yourself too!
